What happens when I run out of credits

Running out stops contact enrichment but nothing else. Search, signals and Loops keep working, and you are never charged.

Updated Aug 20, 2026

Running out of credits stops one thing: unlocking new verified contacts. Company search, buying signals, the weekly drop and your Loops all keep working normally, because none of those cost credits. Your agent receives a clear zero-balance message instead of a contact, and nothing is charged to any card.

What still works

  • Searching companies and buying signals, unlimited
  • The weekly drop of newly funded companies
  • Loops continuing to run and collect matches
  • Every contact you already unlocked, re-requestable at no charge

In practice you can keep building target lists while at zero, then pull the contacts once you have more credits.

Getting more credits

Finish your setup steps. If any remain unclaimed, they are the cheapest credits available. See earn your free credits.

Top up. A one-off credit purchase is available from the billing page, with no subscription required.

Upgrade. Paid plans include a monthly credit pool that refreshes each cycle.

A note on timing

Because credits are spent only on delivery, a zero balance means you received everything you paid for. There is no partially-consumed state to reconcile and no pending charge to worry about.

Common questions

Will I be charged automatically when I run out?

Never. Signl does not auto-charge a card when your balance reaches zero. Enrichment simply stops with a clear message, and you choose whether to top up, upgrade or carry on using the free search tools.

Do I lose my data if I run out?

No. Contacts you already unlocked stay in your account and can be re-requested at no charge. Your Loops, matches and ICP profile are all unaffected.
