Market: the weekly brief and competitors

Every Monday, a brief of what people who fit your ICP said: themes, pains, objections, competitors and their exact words. On Pro, with a competitor radar.

Updated Oct 7, 2026

The Dashboard shows what your buyers are saying in two tabs beside Pipeline. Audience shows who the qualified people are and what they said, for the period and source you pick, with the weekly brief below it. Competitors shows who is talking about your rivals.

The weekly brief, under Audience

Every Monday, Signl writes a brief from the past week's comments by people who fit your ICP, once there are at least 15:

  • A headline: the main thing buyers talked about.
  • Themes, each with how many people raised it and the comments behind it.
  • Pains and objections, in their terms.
  • Competitors named, and whether people spoke of them well or badly.
  • In their words: phrases buyers used that you can copy into a sequence or a post.

The brief also arrives by email, and in Slack if it is connected. You can write one for the last 7 days at any time with "Brief the last 7 days".

Competitors

Add your competitors to your ICP, as people write their names. The radar then shows:

  • Share of voice over 8 weeks, against your own company name, with a weekly line for each.
  • Spikes: a competitor mentioned at least twice as often as usual this week.
  • Might switch: people unhappy with a competitor who also described a pain or a need.

Slack alerts mark people who are unhappy with a competitor, and Pro accounts get a weekly line when a competitor's mentions spike.

Plans

The brief and the competitor radar are on Pro. On Free and Starter, Audience and Competitors show an example.

Common questions

Can the brief make things up?

Every item has to point to real comments from that week, and anything that does not is dropped. A phrase must appear word for word in a comment, and a competitor must be named in one. The brief stores only which comments it used, never their text, so a person deleted under our retention disappears from old briefs too.

What does the competitor radar count?

Comments that name a competitor on your ICP, in the conversations Signl reads for your account. It is a share of that conversation, not of the whole internet. A competitor counts only when the person really named it, or was commenting on the competitor's own post.
